Jessy Carlson

Jessy Carlson joined the WRC as an Extension Educator December, 2024. Prior to that, Jessy served as a Resilience Extension Associate at Minnesota Sea Grant. In that role, she facilitated technical assistance for stormwater and shoreland ordinance updates across multiple urban and rural government units, created educational materials, and assisted local governments with communication strategies and outreach campaigns. She has held positions at the EPA, 1854 Treaty Authority, Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, and the US Forest Service. Jessy has a BS in Biology (Plant Science) from UW-Superior and a Masters degree in Northern Environments and Cultures from Lakehead University.
