State and Regional LinksThe Minnesota Pollution Control Agency site has information on MPCA regulations, permits, and activities; calendar and news briefs; kid's pages; basic non-technical information on Minnesota water resources. The Minnesota D.N.R. - Water Resources Data site features real-time lake level and stream-flow data. The Minnesota D.N.R. - Waters site provides information on current research, outreach programs, office locations, and permits. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District provides interactive map interfaces to current and historical data for several of Minnesota's River Basins, and hydrologic information such as snow and frost depths. The Minnesota Extension Service Water Quality Site contains information on Water Quality projects such as Shoreland Education. The Lake Access site provides information on Minnesota lakes including: current issues, educational information and real-time data for anglers, swimmers, boaters, and watershed residents. The Great Lakes Information Network site has extensive background information on the Great Lakes Region and a list of links for Great Lakes research. The Duluth Streams site provides information the geology, biology, history, water quality, recreation, human impacts and management of Duluth's 42 streams. The Mississippi Headwaters Board web site lets you find out about the Mississippi Headwaters Area, and discover what programs and efforts are underway to help protect and understand the river.
