Volunteers and Partners
How to Volunteer
 Despite a strong existing volunteer base, additional volunteers are still needed to more thoroughly monitor streams and rivers in the Twin Cities area. Individuals, classes, or groups that wish to become involved should first contact the VSMP local partner in their county to find out about current monitoring efforts and where important monitoring needs are yet to be met. Local partners can help new volunteers design a monitoring plan that best fits their interests and experience level, as well as help determine appropriate monitoring sites.
Local Partners
VSMP local partners work directly with volunteers who conduct the monitoring. VSMP in turn provides training, coordination, Quality Control/Quality Assurance of collected data, and other support for the local partners.
