Beginning in March 2007, the University of Minnesota is providing training toward Technical Service Provider (TSP) certification in the areas below. Click on the course name for details and registration.
Why become a Technical Service Provider (TSP)?Technical Service Providers (TSPs) are needed to provide private landowners with the technical services required to plan and implement conservation activities funded by federal Farm Bill conservation programs and other sources, including Minnesota’s new Clean Water Legacy Act. The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) provides funding for these services directly and through producer contracts. The training offered here will enable qualified participants to meet most of the requirements for certification by NRCS in the listed subject areas. This pilot year is being underwritten by Clean Water Legacy funds, allowing much lower course fees now than in the future. For more Information Contact:Anne Lewandowski
This training is part of a 3-year Clean Water Legacy TSP Training Initiative to build Minnesota's technical capacity to restore impaired waters in agricultural watersheds.
