Environmental Restoration
In the Great Lakes Region, we appreciate and value our 30,000 lakes, our 420,000 acres of wetlands and our 10,000 miles of shoreline (Great Lakes Information Network). WRC outreach programs engage the public in shoreline best management practices, volunteer monitoring, shoreline restoration, and other projects that put our water resources research to work. At the WRC, we are committed to protecting the health of our natural resources, and to working with the many partners whose collaboration is essential to the success of our environmental restoration efforts.
