Valerie Prax is a member of the Onsite Sewage Treatment Program (OSTP) Team with the University of Minnesota Extension, serving as a Regional Extension Educator. Valerie is based at the Regional Extension Center in Mora; her area includes north central and northeastern Minnesota. Her areas of expertise are the Homeowner and Small Community Education Programs. The Homeowner program helps Minnesota residents learn proper care and maintenance of their septic systems; the Small Community Wastewater Solutions program helps communities work through a decision making process and find appropriate solutions to wastewater issues. Valerie has been with the University of Minnesota Extension for 30 years with a focus on environmental education; the last 5 working on water quality issues. She holds a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Minnesota.
