Jim Anderson
WRC Projects: Center for Agricultural Impacts on Water Quality, the USDA Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service's Great Lakes Regional Water Program, Terrestrial Carbon Sequestration Program, and the Mekong-Mississippi Partnership. Jim Anderson manages the WRC's outreach program where he provides leadership to Extension water quality education programs. In this capacity he supervises Extension Educators that provide a variety of educational programs on topics such as, manure and nutrient management, individual and small community sewage treatment and shoreline management. Jim also serves as a principal investigator on several research projects while coordinating College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences research activities. Jim provides additional statewide leadership by serving on the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources. Jim is also a Professor in the Department of Soil, Water and Climate. His research interests include the operation of individual sewage treatment systems and the influence of soil landscapes on the movement of contaminants. Jim has a Ph.D. (1976) in Soil Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been a Professor in Soil, Water and Climate since 1978. | |||
