The Water Resources Center (WRC) is a multifaceted center with active programs in research, outreach, and education. The WRC works to help coordinate public engagement and research within the University, enabling more effective delivery of research to decision-makers and citizens; opening new avenues for multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary partnerships; and providing a critical link between students and water-resources professionals, allowing students maximum access to the University's water programs. The WRC's creation in 1996 united three long-standing University of Minnesota water programs, the Water Resources Research Institute, the Center for Agricultural Impacts on Water Quality, and the Extension Water Quality Program, into a larger enterprise. The goal of the WRC is to integrate the missions of the three water programs. The WRC is also a member of the Consortium on Law and Values in Health, Environment and the Life Sciences. The Water Resources Center is located in McNeal Hall on the Saint Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota. The campus can be reached with directions from I-94, I-35W and Highway 36.
