For the last 5 years Jessica Wittwer has been an Education and Research Assistant with the University of Minnesota’s Onsite Sewage Treatment Program (OSTP). Her research projects include; Water Table Monitoring to study the long-term soil hydrology in varying soils, Characteristics of the Modern Waste Stream from Single Source, Field Evaluation of Rock Filled and Infiltrator Trench Systems, Further Evaluation of Cluster System Septic Tank Performance. Examples of presentation titles include; Soil Texture/structure and how it relates to septic systems, Soil color and its importance to septic systems, Landscaping your septic system, Field evaluations of soils and landscapes in the context of septic systems.
Wittwer has a B.S. in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Soil Science from the University of Minnesota.
